SELECTED PROJECTS

Micah’s feature debut, Blood Magick, is a supernatural horror film about a beer-guzzling witch who becomes the unwilling hero when a horde of demons appears on the streets. Shot on location in Glendale, California, Blood Magick was co-produced with Micah’s brother James Delhauer.

For the film, Micah wore the hats of writer, director, editor, producer, sound designer, and visual effects artist. The project took seven years from inception to release, delayed mid-production by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Blood Magick has garnered multiple awards, including Best from Fest from Phobia Film Fest and Outstanding Kick-Ass Heroine from Zed Fest Film Festival.

The film is available for rental and purchase here.

The official website can be found here.

A Thousand Dreadful Things is the new YouTube Channel on which Micah has debuted his web series Alas, Where Are My Lovecraft Movies? The series explores the multitudinous adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft’s works, including film, television, and audio plays.

Puppets Unstrung is part of the Nocturne Unplugged lineup at the Nocturne Theatre in Glendale. Micah was commissioned to assemble a team of talented performers and “direct” a fully improvised comedy show featuring foul-mouthed puppets.

Performances are sporadic, based on the Nocturne Theatre’s schedule.

OW. is an award-winning short film about a young woman who navigates an inadequate medical system as she tries to find the source of her pain. The project is a semi-comedic fictionalization of star Laura Delhauer’s own frustrating medical experiences. Laura co-wrote and co-directed the film with (now husband) Jack Merline.

Micah, Laura’s older brother, is proud to have been an associate producer and editor on the film, and was recognized with the Best Editing award at Hollywood Shorts Fest.

Revenge of The Sock is an early project from Micah Delhauer, consisting of six main episodes and several shorter videos featuring messages from the title character. The series chronicles the escapades of an evil sock puppet who’s gone into a depression after his dreams of world domination have failed to manifest. Frequent collaborators (and siblings) Laura and James Delhauer also contributed to the series.

The main series can be viewed here.

An early horror project from Micah, Ashes to Ashes is a short film that sees a grieving mother being visited by the ghost of her young daughter. The sweet-faced manifestation is not what it seems, however, the girl’s spirit having become fused to something much darker…

The short can be viewed in its entirety below.
